2018 - Alagesan Kumar A/L Jayagaran

The Rotary Club of Sitiawan went to assist the family of 35 year old Alagesan Kumar A/L Jayagaran. Mr Alageson the sole bread winner of the family had been involved in an accident that left him with half a brain and permanently disabled. Due to a mistake in his medical report that classified him as only temporarily disabled all payments from SOCSO had stopped. We gave an immediate cash assistance of RM1000 to his wife and 5 year old daughter. We are assisting her in resolving her problems with the medical reports and refiling with SOSCO.

On 23rd June 2018, we visited Mr.Alagesan again to hand over a donation of RM200 from Mr.Pang Chok King from PCK Frozen Foods and another donation of RM300 from another donor. The family is in dire straits as the wife Valliamai is not working as she has to look after him. The couple has a 5 year old child. They are still awaiting Jabatan Kebajikan's help which will take another 3 months.
